Chopped Strands for Function Plastics
Chopped strands are glass strands cut into short pieces. Combined with high-function plastics, they form fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (FRTP) products, which are widely used in automobiles, electric/electronic parts, and other products.
Yarns for Printed Circuit Boards
Yarn, in the form of twisted glass strands, is woven into cloth and alternately layered with epoxy resin to form printed circuit boards. With its low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss properties, D-fiber is used in high-frequency circuit boards for mobile communication systems. H-fiber, with its high dielectric constant, is used in compact high-frequency circuit boards, such as those found in cellular phones.
Roving for Reinforced Plastic
Strands of glass fiber are brought together to form roving, which is used in various fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) products, such as housing equipment and automobile parts.
Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber
Alkali resistant glass fiber (ARG fiber), with its exceptional chemical resistance, is used to reinforce cement and other alkali materials and to limit crack propagation in mortar and concrete. It is also used to reinforce FRP and FRTP for chemically resistant applications.
