Material Design

Material design is the core technology of glass manufacturing. Making use of technology cultivated over a period of about 60 years, NEG responds to demands for the new glass properties and high-level specifications that the times require.

Material design

Glass is a unique material that can dissolve nearly any element. The properties of glass used to control various functions are determined by its composition. Optimal glass that demonstrates necessary functions emerges from a repeated process consisting of raw material and composition design, test melting, and evaluation. In this way, NEG has created hundreds of different glass materials, and the number continues to increase.
