BFK is a bolosilicate glass developed for fluorescent lamps. BFK has a high resistance to ultraviolet discoloring, electrical resitivity and high-dimensional precision, is suitable in fluorescent lamps for back-lighting in LCDs, which are required for smaller and longer tubes. BFK is also used for various purposes of sealing kovar metal.
