Nippon Electric Glass Awarded the Green Sustainability Award by AUO

Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Otsu, Shiga, Japan; President: Akira Kishimoto; “NEG”) received the Green Sustainability Award at the 2025 Global Partner Summit (GPS) held in September 2025 by AUO Corporation (AUO), a major display panel manufacturer in Taiwan.
This award recognizes the efforts of AUO's business partners to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions from 2022 to 2023. This was the first time NEG has received this award, in recognition of its innovative manufacturing process technology, the introduction of a mega solar power system, and the adoption of energy-saving utility facilities.

The Global Partner Summit (GPS) is an international partner conference hosted by AUO every two to three years. This year, under the theme of "Together, Unlimited Possibilities," more than 300 major business partners of approximately 120 companies from North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region participated.
At the GPS, AUO's management policies and CSR measures were presented, and its vision was shared among the participants for promoting sustainable growth and co-creation.

We have been highly evaluated by achieving a significant reduction in CO ₂ emissions through the following initiatives.

① Introduction of innovative manufacturing process technologies
Shifted to the latest equipment with low CO₂ emissions, mainly in the display business.

② Introduction of a mega solar power system
Began operating a mega solar power system at the Shiga-Takatsuki Plant to promote green power consumption.

③ Replacement with energy-efficient utility facilities ^*
Upgraded to high-efficiency equipment and optimized facilities and operations.
